Welcome to Social Studies 8. What was it like to live during the Middle Ages in Europe? What were the responsibilities of a knight or a serf? What has been the greatest achievement of humankind in art, music, sculpture, architecture, painting, music, or science? The Renaissance was a beginning of such achievements. In this course we will learn about some very significant & interesting events and changes that shaped the history of Europe and, in turn, our lives today. We will also spend a week or two honing our map interpretation skills.
